1 Year Old

1 YEAR PICTURES!! Thanks Chelsey Shaw for taking them! They turned out great!

We really have been so blessed to have such a happy baby! He smiles at everything!

1 YEAR OLD!!!
Weston turned 1 year old on September 7th! I can't believe this little guy is 1! We celebrated his party a couple weeks ago to get it out of the way before school got crazy. He had a lot of fun and got some fun toys and clothes! Thanks everyone for coming and being apart of Weston party!!  We sure do love this little guy and he keeps us laughing not stop!! Here are some things he is doing lately
-Gives loves and kisses
-Prefers his Dad!
-Was off the bottle at 11 months but still loves his binky
-Already a teaser
-Sleeps from 7:30 p.m. to 8 a.m (is it bad that I love bedtime?)
-Laughs when I tell him NO
-Will say "ya ya ya" when you ask him any question
-Takes about 5 steps and then prefers to crawl because he is quicker
-Loves little kids, screams when ever he sees them (we make friends all the time when we go shopping...sometimes its a little akward for me..)
-Anytime he hears music he stops and will just dance
-Has 2 teeth!
-Lactose intolerant

Here a a few pics from his party

So I got this birthday book for everyone to sign that came..I also decided to have me and Robby write a letter to him in the back of the book.. Robby thought it was funny and silly (boys). He was like "so when he is 18 are we going to show him this letter infront of all his friends".  Yes Robby I will do just that!
Weston loved the silly GUMMY BEAR SONG for like his first year of life so I thought it was fitting to do a Gummy Bear Cake! Thanks Afton for making this great smash cake. She is so talented

Some of my best friends came! Its so fun to see them

He didn't really "dive" into the cake. He was very dainty about it.  That big hole you see in his cake is because we shoved his hand into it! haha

Here is to another great year! I love you Weston!!!

Thankful

I work for hospice right now and we have a case that is just so sad.  It a 23 year old that has luekemia.  He had a transplant a couple months ago I guess but it didn't work.  His luekemia is back so now they will let it takes its course. On top of this person being only 23 years old he has a wife and a brand new baby. His baby is a week old.  Him and his wife got pregnant and then after found out about his cancer.  It is just so tragic. Most hospice cases I deal with are elderly people. It is still very sad when they pass but it is more of a happy/sad feeling if you know what I mean.  A lot of my patients are ready to go and are in so much pain.  With this case it is just so sad. It hits so close to home for me.  I am just 23 and have a little boy as well.  Ahh, I just can't imagine. I am just so thankful for my life and I hope that I never have to go through what this sweet family is going through right now. I am just so thankful for the gospel knowing that there is life after death and one day this sweet family will be together again.  Working for hospice has really made me realize that life really is so precious and to cherish everyday and to be grateful for all the things I have!

Love Love Love

This year has been the year of love!! My good friend Rachel got married and then right after a close cousin Lacia got married and then right after that my brother Nick got married to his high school sweetheart Amber!! Its so fun to witness all of these weddings. Love truly is a beautiful thing! I think I cried at every wedding ceremony.  I remember when I got married I woke up that day and didnt even care what my hair looked like or if I had a zit. I was just so happy!!! Anyways...August must be the month to get married in Utah, I have 7 wedding invites on my fridge right now! Crazy! Happy Love:)

Beautiful Rachel
                                                                    Beautiful Lacia
Beautiful Amber
This picture brings back so many memories. I am so grateful for my life!

New Job

I currently work for a Home Health and Hospice company as a PRN which means on call or as needed basis.  Lately I have not been getting really any hours because they lost a patient that was like 30 hrs a week so that CNA gets all the on calls and I am there if she can't take it.  I decided to look into other jobs.  I applied for a CNA position at Intermountain and was called for an interview. As I went to the interview the manager lady had to run somewhere for 2 hrs real quick so I interviewed with the lady who is over volunteers.  Whenever I go to interviews I also like to get a look at what kind of competition.  They were hiring one person and doing over 30 interviews.  As I walked away I knew I would not get the job because I have little experience and I didn't even get to interview with the manager.  Well to my surprise I got offered the job and I am very excited to start.  Its hard to get on at intermountain because it is super cometetive and they can be very picky.  I will work 16 hrs a week and it will be perfect because I will have a set income! Yeah for jobs!!!

Mothers Day

Yesterday was my first official Mothers Day and it was fantastic. We had a fun weekend in St. George with close friends and headed home yesterday. I woke up to sweet flowers and a sweet card from my husband. To get my husband to write me a sweet card from his heart doesn't happen too much because he it not really into all the mushy stuff. Well the card was so sweet and made me cry a little.
My heart was very full yesterday.  Looking at my sweet baby Weston yesterday feeling so lucky to have such a happy healthy boy. So blessed and privileged that I get the chance to be his mother and what a responsibility that is. He has a clean slate and it is my responsibility to give him the guidance he needs to be a good person. It is my job to teach him everything. No pressure right? Well I am up for the task and if he is anything like his father he will be a wonderful man and be a GREAT husband one day.
Special love and thanks goes to my own mother. She is a wonderful person herself and has taught me so much. She is the hardest worker I know and has always done it for he kids and family. What a great role model she has been fore me. My mother in law is a fabulous women as well. She did a fantastic job raising my husband and I know he gets many of his great qualities from her. We are surrounded by wonderful women so here is to you!! Thanks for all you do! HAPPY MOTHERS DAY:)

Baby Food

So I have just decided that I am not really a fan of the baby food stage. It is messy, takes patience, dirty clothes, Weston is picky- forcing him to eat veggies is hard you would think I was torturing him by the way he was crying, and (sorry this is gross) his BM's are getting to be more human like if you know what I mean. But I do enjoy that it is a lot cheaper than formula:)

Oh and by the way I got a job, it is PRN (on call) so I work when I want so that is really nice. If people call me and I don't want to work I can simply say "no" with no questions asked.

Excited for Summer!!
