Lately

Its been a busy spring/summer so far! I thought I would update this journal on events that have been happening around the Welling house!  When we found out this little baby was a girl I wanted to make the nursery both boy and girl since they will be sharing.  I thought I would stay with blues/greens for the boy feel but have girly looking fabric etc. I started looking on Etsy to find some custom baby crib bedding but everything was over 300 dollars and I just couldn't do it.  So I thought I would ask my mom to help me make some bedding because she used to sew all of our clothes when we were little. She agreed to help me and she did a wonderful job!! Picking fabric was stressful for me, I went through 4 different sets of fabric before my mother finally took this fabric and washed it so I couldn't return it anymore but I am so pleased with it. My mom did a wonderful job on the bumpers and crib skirt. I am going to find be a light blue sheet and decorate a pillow to put in the crib.  Thank you mom!!

p.s. my dr said he will take me on August 7th if I don't go into labor. That is less than 8 weeks! We are almost done here folks!

My sister in law saw this cute maxi skirt tutorial on elleapparel.blogspot.com and asked my mom if she would be willing to help me make some skirts. She agreed again and we made me, my sisters, and sister in law a couple of these skirts. I have a purple, blue and this striped one. I got my fabric on sell and made 2 skirts for about 18 dollars. Thanks again to my mom who really made all of these skirts. She made 4 of these skirts in 2 hours!  I have brought my mom back to her crafty days!!! I love DIY projects

Here is Wes bald!!! haha! Robby says I am not allowed to cut his hair anymore! This picture was about a month ago and thank heaven his hair is finally growing back in nicely.  I decided I would try cutting his hair so I gave him the iPad and when to town. Till I messed up and had to shave it all.  I even shaved his calic (sp) right off and he had two bald bald spots which you can kind of see in the picture. Lets just say I will be paying 9 dollars to get his haircut from now on!

A little update on our Wes is he LOVES to be outside even if he is just wondering around.  He is starting into his TERRIBLE two's I think.  Just in the last couple weeks he has gone from my sweet little boy to a stubborn/tantrum boy.  I hope this phase doesn't last too long!!
Wes also loves being with his cousins!
And what boy wouldn't love his Grandpa's tractor! Spoiled little boy! We sure do love him even thought he keeps us on our toes!
